My name is Andrea Mei and I was born as a professional chef de cuisine with a long international career.
Since 2006 I have been collecting and studying philately with a focus on foreign classical area: the United States, the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and more generally classics from Switzerland, France, Japan, Scandinavian countries and Iceland.
My passion and eagerness to engage with this particular and fascinating world has allowed me to gain some expertise without making me lose any enthusiasm and desire to learn.
For me, and I hope it becomes one for you as well, this is not just a little store but a place where I condense my desire to experience philately through, not only sales, but also through the popularization of my dedicated youtube channel and the sharing of my philatelic group on Facebook that was created on December 23, 2008.
Happy philately to all!
My philatelic adventure began in 2006.
I happened to come across a binder of stamps , what today I would call: “haphazard accumulation of very common material with no commercial value.”
For me it was an electrocution! Mesmerized by those tiny colorful confetti from all over the world and from different eras, a spark went off in me that has never been extinguished since.
In addition to procuring material to include in my collection I began to invest in philatelic literature from around the world, being amazed at the vastness of this subject.
I began to trade and sell surplus material in order to feed my small collection becoming, step by step, more and more documented and therefore capable.
From just a basic collector, I became an advanced collector and for several years now a professional seller.
I like to call my small business a “C to C” business, or collector to collector J
I leave you with my usual wishes for Good Philately.
Facebook group created on December 23, 2008, which has about 6,000 collector members, mainly from Italy. Registered trademark since 2016.
Over the years we have tried to include only people who are collectors or interested in collecting to give way to create more interest and participation.
An excellent showcase for one’s sales or to search for materials. I invite you to sign up by answering the three very simple questions.
Born a few months ago, it is a project to which, for reasons of work commitments, I am devoting very little time and which, despite the premise not being encouraging, is gathering unsuspected adherents.
As I write this presentation I have posted 19 videos and (for me) , a miniscule but nevertheless incredible number of subscribers, already totaling several thousand views.
Although these numbers may seem ridiculous, they are not at all when one considers first of all how ultra-sectoral our world is, and secondly the fact that the videos are only in Italian.
For me, it is essential that you sign up and not for who knows what ambition, but rather to have a mutual stimulus to do better and learn more about philately.
This page was created in the summer of 2023 and is dedicated to the sale of material that you will not necessarily find on Delcampe or this site.
Normally it is more “easy” material but also small ultra specializations. They not infrequently leave.
This may seem unnecessary or out of place, but precisely because I consider myself a collector in the service of other collectors, I find it appropriate to tell you what I have been collecting since 2006.
For now two decades I have been collecting U.S. stamps used from Provvisionals to 1899 (no protectorates) with study of the stamps and the splendid “Fancy Cancellations.”
In addition to this I collect in a purely hobbyist manner, Pre-Cancelled from the United States and PERFIN from around the world.
