Dear Fellow Philatelists,
to say that we are living in a critical and very often tragic and alienating global situation does not give the slightest idea of the horror of war that many people experience on a daily basis in the nearly 60 existing conflicts.
As is unfortunately known and can be easily imagined, those who suffer most are civilians and especially the most defenseless: children.
The feeling of helplessness, outrage and sadness that pervades me is common to many other people who, like me, care deeply about the happiness of children around the world.
Aware of my tiny contribution, I would like to announce a charity auction that will take place between May and June.
To make it possible we need the help of all collectors and dealers, who can donate their surplus philatelic material and it will be auctioned through my facebook business page.
The cost of shipping the materials to the winners of the auction (FOR ITALY ONLY), will be totally borne by me and the entire amount raised – publicly visible when the fundraising is done- will be donated to SAVE THE CHILDREN, IN SUPPORT OF THE GAZA EMERGENCY.
Materials must be received by May 18, 2024, and will be auctioned from May 27 to June 4 (payment must be made within 72 hours of award).
I am sending the instructions to anyone interested in contributing to this cause!
In addition to thanking in advance everyone who sends materials, I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank the Save the Children liaisons I have been in contact with who have enthusiastically embraced the initiative.
